Kimis Plumeria Web Group LogoAn Ideal Foliage Feeding Program: Messenger, Spray N Grow, Seaweed Extract and Liquinox

Many Plumeria Growers are asking how to use our latest products. For foliar feeding the following regimen is suggested:

From our test trials “Messenger” performs best with proper application practices with the consistency as discussed in the following. This routine will be very beneficial for plumeria/frangipani, palms, tropical and tropical fruiting trees, in fact any plants, vegetables, fruits you may grow.

For practical use “Messenger” is packaged in many sizes however we will only discuss the two most popular sizes.

The retail packs contains 3 ea. One gal. packets that make one gal. of mixed solution.

The next size for larger gardens is 1/25 oz. I.E. 3 gal. of mixed solution per package.

For one gallon of spray mix, 1 Tablespoon Grow More Seaweed Extract, 1oz. SNG and 1/4 tsp. Coco Wet surfactant/spreader as per package instructions;

Add these nutrients to SNG mix,

For foliage growth 1/2oz. Liquinox 10-10-5, 1oz. Liquinox Start and 1 one gal. size package of “Messenger”. (Triple for use with 3 gal. “Messenger” packet.)

For foliage and flowers 1/2oz. Liquinox 4-10-10, 1oz. Liquinox Start and 1 one gal. size package of “Messenger”. (Triple for use with 3 gal. “Messenger” packet.)

 For flowers 1/2oz. Liquinox 0-10-10, 1oz. Liquinox Start and 1 one gal. size package “Messenger”. (Triple for use with 3 gal. “Messenger” packet.)

These combinations of nutrients are given ONCE every twenty-one days with “Messenger”, weekly or bye weekly applications can be made with Seaweed Extract, SNG and the Liquinox products only.

A note about spraying:

Many people that garden have not been trained in best practices of spraying. Depending on the product to be sprayed strict adherence to method is important for optimum results and the preventing of wasting expensive spray materials. Always hydrate/water your plants prior to spraying these materials as serious foliage burn may occur if your plants are dry. Plan to be finished spraying prior to 9:00 AM. in the morning. However, you can spray in the evening but it is not advised.

It is important to note “Messenger”, Seaweed Extract, SNG and Liquinox can be aerial sprayed or boom sprayed effectively. These methods however are not optimum or the most effective spray regimen for plumeria. When combining these three products the finest mist possible is used. In addition, you are loosing effectiveness if you have not combined the materials with a sticking agent or surfactant. We suggest using a QUALITY sprayer that will produce a fine mist. You will want to cover the entire tree i.e. all leaves top and bottom and branch tips with this fine mist WITHOUT RUNOFF. This “Foliage Feeding Program” is not to replace your normal feeding routine. This additional routine will enhance your plumeria trees ability to build its immune system, optimize growth and branching, produce luxurious foliage and produce copious amounts of flowers.

Follow label directions for routine watering with Liquinox fertilization program.
